If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Stanley's Sticker
Stories . . .
This new version of Stanley's Sticker Stories includes some changes that make the program easier to run. However, because of these changes, this new version can't automatically retrieve stories created with an earlier version of Stanley's Sticker Stories . Don't worry! By following a few easy steps you can put those stories in a place where the new version of Stanley's Sticker Stories can find them.
1. Open the Stanley's Sticker Stories folder on your hard drive.
2. Find the Users folder.
3. Click the word Users under the folder to select it. Rename the folder by typing: Stanley Kids Folder.
4. Move the Stanley Kids folder to the Preferences folder (found inside your System Folder).
5. Now your new version of Stanley's Sticker Stories can open any stories you created and saved with the old version.
Running Stanley's Sticker Stories without the CD
If you prefer to run Stanley's Sticker Stories without the CD, follow these steps to copy the program onto your hard drive. (You must have 90MB available on your hard drive.)
1. Create a new folder anywhere on your hard drive. Name this folder Stanley.
2. Insert the Stanley's Sticker Stories CD into your CD-ROM drive. The Stanley 's Sticker Stories window opens.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Stanley's Sticker Stories window. Find the Stanley 68K and Stanley PPC applications and the folder named Data.
4. If you have a Power PC, drag the Stanley PPC application and the Data folder into the Stanley folder (which you created in Step 1) on your hard drive.
5. If you do not have a Power PC, drag the Stanley 68K and the Data folder into the Stanley folder (which you created in Step 1) on your hard drive.
6. Now Stanley's Sticker Stories can will run without the CD. To run the program, open the Stanley folder on your hard drive and double-click the application.
